Your guide will be an iPad loaded with clever software will give your team cryptic clues and take you to hotspots, and this energetic city has plenty to offer. These include The Brighton Pavilion, the historical pier where you can stop for candyfloss, and the narrow streets of The Laines, a shopping area with more than 400 independent retailers. You may even bump into one of the many celebrities who love Brighton and Hove so much that they have made it their home. David Walliams, Fatboy Slim and Chris Eubank all reside there. You can even have a water based event using our fleet of RIB speedboats. This is a wonderful way of experiencing the coastline from the sea.
Quizmania!
Quizmania is our state-of-the-art quiz which takes the traditional quiz to a whole new level. Technology makes this team building event extremely engaging, and you do not just sit around a table answering questions. You will be getting up to complete challenges, recreate photographs and run around collecting items. BAT booked this event in Brighton; ‘Yesterday was just amazing! Your team (as always) delivered the day perfectly, we were so happy. Thank you so much!’ If you were to tell a group that there was going to be a quiz some might feel a little disappointed, but when we set Quizmania up with a large screen, staging and an iPad on each table the excitement sets in. Have a look at the video on the event page and you will see for yourself. As one participant says; ‘it’s better than a bottle of wine’!
It’s a Knockout in Brighton
For this event you will need to head out of Brighton into the surrounding countryside where there are plenty of hotels with land for team building events. It’s a Knockout is big, bold and colourful. We bring a selection of inflatable games. Giant Beach Volleyball is a huge inflatable volleyball court, the size of two standard bouncy castles. Human Table Football is a massive recreation of a table football game, which you play attached to poles. It has to be seen to be believed and many say that it is as much fun to watch as it is to play. Human Demolition is essentially a soft wrecking ball. Players stand on a podium and swing the ball to try to knock each other off. You can really throw yourself, and others, around on these games because you get a soft landing. It’s a Knockout is a very popular team building event choice in Brighton, and as with others it gives some hilarious photo opportunities for lasting memories of the experience.
Outdoor Team Building Events in Brighton
The Olympic Games is a particularly good option for international audiences. Each team waves their country’s flag, and is pumped up by their national anthem, before entering into a selection of head-to-head challenges. You can mix and match the various activities that we offer so that there is something to please everyone in your team. Laser Clay Shooting, Archery and Inflatable Volleyball all have Olympic relevance. Tesco had this feedback; ‘The team had a great afternoon and absolutely loved it. It was all that everyone spoke about all evening over dinner.’ Team building should not just be a moment in time. The chat over dinner, and the banter about who did what is an important after-effect of well-planned team building. Photos of the day are also important, and our team on the day of your event can take photos for you. Many clients create a collage for their office wall.
Indoor Team Building Events in Brighton
We have a great selection of indoor team building events for you to consider. Our Beat The Box event was inspired by the game show ‘The Cube’. Teams are presented with a series of challenges which must be completed against the clock challenging reaction time, accuracy and judgement. Our Beat The Box arena has been produced to the highest standard, and it looks fantastic when set up in a room. The Ultimate Challenge is another activity. Teams are presented with a box filled with a huge selection of fiendish and fiddly challenges. You have to complete as many as you can, and this involves strategy as much as it does skill. Olivia Winchester from Hilton had this to say about it; ‘a huge thank you to you and the team for putting on such a fantastic team building event! The Ultimate Challenge was thoroughly enjoyed and it is so lovely to work with Matt and his team who were so helpful and absolutely brilliant.’
Evening Team Building Events in Brighton
Evening events usually take place over dinner, and this can be a really effective way to unwind after a day of conference work. We need a room with enough space to set up a staging area at one end. Often these team building events are a surprise for the guests, who walk into a room with an intriguing event backdrop to excite the senses. Quizmania is a fantastic next generation quiz, with a stage, large screen and iPads for each table. It really does redefine the concept of a quiz. Our Murder Mystery events are also very popular, and we have several scripts to choose from. National Highways chose this event, and Naz sent us this review; ‘my team and I had a fantastic time! We thoroughly enjoyed the task and had great fun solving the mystery. We had split into two teams and it was my team who won!’
Icebreaker Team Building Events in Brighton
It is not widely known that when Abba won Eurovision in 1974 with their song “Waterloo” the show was actually hosted at the Brighton Dome, one of the city’s many event spaces. It is fitting that so many of our Icebreaker Team Building Events are musical. You might consider trying to recreate a disco rhythm with team Drumming - after all, what genre of music has more bongo drums? Our Beat The Box event is also a great icebreaker. We have an extended version that can last for a few hours, or we can reduce the number of challenges and run is as an up tempo energising kick off for your conference. Funky Junk, making music with recycled household junk, is also perfect for Brighton, which elected the country’s first Green Party Member of Parliament, Caroline Lewis. Whether your requirement is for an Icebreaker at the beginning of an event or to dispel the post lunch slump, we have the event for you.
Company Fun Days in Brighton
Numerous organisations host an annual fun day as a key team building event in their schedule. These gatherings often extend beyond employees, welcoming their families as well, and fostering stronger connections between staff and the company. We scout the ideal venue and organise various activities, including country sports, inflatable attractions like our Human Table Football, and entertainment for children. Our team handles all catering and logistical arrangements to ensure a memorable team building experience. Usually the catering involves a barbecue, but we recently saw a vegan caterer brought in for 200 guests, so it is not always a meat feast! Vision Express in Brighton chose an It’s a Knockout for their event; ‘the team had a fantastic time, and all the games involved were great fun. Please pass on my thanks to all the team involved who made it such an enjoyable afternoon.’ We handle every aspect of a large scale event, including risk assessments and other important paperwork.
Company Away Days in Brighton
Grandad’s allotments in Only Fools and Horses were actually filmed in Brighton. Like grandad we all need to get away sometimes. The corporate equivalent of the allotment may be the annual away day, which is literally a day away from the office. Board the train at London with a backpack containing your lunch and travel down to wonderful Brighton to take in the sea air and enjoy a day by the seaside. The Quidditch World Cup scene in Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire, was filmed on the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, not far from Brighton. We do not offer Quidditch … yet … but we do have a splendid assortment of fun and memorable team building events. Our Hidden Quest Treasure Hunt is perfect for the interesting sights of Brighton, or you can choose The Parmesan Job and visit Seven Sisters, and other locations, in a Fiat 500.
Company Team Building in Brighton
Company team building events are perfectly suited to Brighton. We have an ‘Out & About’ version of our Murder Mystery, in which teams solve a crime while exploring the local area. Suspects, played by professional role-play actors who stay in character, are positioned at key locations around the city. Teams must find them and question them in an attempt to find Method, Motive and Murderer. Everyone then comes back to a final location where each team presents a verdict and the true murderer is revealed, with a thrilling finale involving a gunshot! Thrive Homes chose a murder mystery; ‘Thanks so much for your help with the event, we’ve had some really great feedback from colleagues and everyone seemed to really enjoy it… even those who don’t like getting involved too much! The actors were great and we had a really fun morning overall.’ Several plots are available, from classic to contemporary.
Competitive Team Building Events in Brighton
A good, healthy competitive culture can really make a working environment fun. Our team building events create the perfect environment for adding to this, with running scores and medals for the winners. We often hear that people turn up at meetings in the days after the event, just to rub it in! Freshfields experienced a competitive country sports day; ‘thank you so much for all your help with our event. It was a great success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The country sports were brilliant fun, even with our limited capabilities to hit anything! So much so, that one of the Partners who was with us wanted to try and buy one of the laser clay machines himself for his own use at home. If you are able to share where you purchased your machine from, that would be fabulous.’ Segways and Laser Clays are the two things that people seem to want to take home!
Creative Team Building Events & Activities in Brighton
We have various creative team building events, and we can focus in on creativity, or any company objective, to make it the theme of the day. Films made in Brighton include Quadrophenia, Brighton Rock, and Carry On At Your Convenience. The streets in the animation The Snowman were also inspired by streets in Brighton. With all of this on screen creativity our Movie Making team building event must be something to consider. We provide iPads loaded with film making software, costumes and props and our team of experts who will make sure that you get the most out of your event. Sometimes we create unique events, for example a team of five dodgy builders who crashed lunch at a health and safety conference breaking every risk assessment guideline under the sun, and being confronted by angry delegates at every turn. Our client said; ‘there were some really funny moments - the team did a brilliant job’.
Charity Team Building Events in Brighton
There is a lot of charity activity in Brighton, and if you are considering a charity event then it is an excellent location. Our Rookie team building event, based on The Apprentice, can be easily adapted to include a charity element. One of the challenges is to collect a list of hard to find items with each team being given a budget. The charity version of this challenge has the unspent budget donated to a local charity, so the added edge is that you have to spend as little as possible. In an episode of Badger or Bust with Ruth Badger, an Apprentice runner-up, teams sold Brighton Rock on the streets of the city. This could be part of The Rookie challenge, with the correct permissions secured. Other events to consider are Charity Skateboard Build and Tour de Team, where the skateboards and mountain bikes created can be donated to local charities.
