Team Building In London

London is one of our regular locations for team building events.  Our events can take place in a hotel, or a suitable event space. Often, they are delivered in a client’s office; in a conference room, or even in a large open-plan office space. Other events start and finish at the office, with teams heading out into the surrounding area to explore and complete team challenges. Alternatively, companies may choose to leave the office on a team building away- day adventure. A trip to the green spaces of Richmond is possible on the main overland train network, with Richmond Station, for example, less than half an hour from Waterloo.

London is not so much a single city as a collection of boroughs, towns, and villages sprawling over more than 600 square miles. The City of London, the commercial epicentre, is just 1.12 square miles. Then you have boroughs such as Southwark and Westminster, towns such as Camden and Kensington and Chelsea, and villages such as Wimbledon and Greenwich. There are hundreds of locations that combine to form Greater London. Interestingly, both the City of London and Greater London are classed as counties. Team building events are required by companies in all of these locations, and a high proportion of these will be those located in the commercially important City of London.

Team Building Events In London

One challenge when organising team building events in London is space. Activities such as country sports and quad biking require land. This will affect the choices available, but it need not limit the opportunity for team building, as many exciting options remain. Think about the choice of events by considering the advantages of the city. London is full of interesting sights and fascinating history. This makes it a superb location for our Treasure Hunt events. We offer this activity on foot and in black cabs. We are also uniquely placed to offer Treasure Hunts on the river Thames, as our sister company owns the largest fleet of RIB speedboats in Europe. We use the latest technology (each team is provided with an iPad), and we have a variety of themes including Cyber Heist and a Murder Mystery Treasure Hunt, where you run around against the clock trying to solve a murder and meeting suspects positioned around the city.

Many more options are available. Most of our indoor team building events are available either in clients’ offices or in a nearby hotel, or a suitable large space. This includes Chocolate making, Crime Scene Investigation and our F1 Challenge, to name but a few.

Why Choose London for Corporate Team Building

The obvious reason why you might choose London for your team building event is convenience. If you are based in London and do not have the time or the budget to travel far, a day in the countryside is simply not an option. However, this should not be seen as a disadvantage. Instead, plan the day around the many advantages that London has to offer. An invigorating blast in a speedboat on the Thames is a good example of making the most of the city’s features, especially because many will not have seen their very familiar surroundings from this angle.

There are green spaces around London that can be used for events. Some are in the centre of town, and others are a brief journey away using public transport. In the summer, it is wonderful to get out into nature and enjoy some time taking part in fun team building activities with colleagues. We have a variety of locations where many of our event options can be enjoyed.

London has many opportunities for team building events that will appeal to everyone in your team, and our experienced team is here to guide you in the right direction

Team Building events in London

Country Sports in London

Country Sports activities include archery, laser clay shooting, duck herding, and motorised activities such as quad biking and Segways. While it is tempting to imagine droving a herd of geese through London, and this would once have been a common sight, trying it now would likely attract the attention of the traffic police! There are some options available if this particular format of event is of interest, and there are several places in central London where some activities can take place. Our team will be able to share options with you if you call.

Crystal Challenge in London

Our Crystal Challenge event was inspired by the legendary Crystal Maze TV show. Teams take part in a series of challenges to earn crystals in a light-hearted competition. Our challenges have been purpose-built from high quality materials, and we are certain that they will exceed your expectations. We have a video that shows you how well-made they are, and how effective they are as a team building event. We have also designed a range of indoor challenges which can be run in your offices, or at a hotel or similar event space. This is an excellent choice for an event in London.

The Perfect Team Building Event

We offer one of the largest ranges of activity options in our industry. This means that our clients are sometimes torn between two choices in our menu of offerings. So, why not mix two event formats and experience a bit of everything. The Perfect Team Building event merges Country Sports with our Crystal Challenge, although there is no reason why other formats should not be mixed. So, if you like the look of more than one activity, then speak to a member of our team, and together you can create The Perfect Team Building Event in London.

The Parmesan Job in London

The Parmesan Job is frequently described as the best team building event that participants have ever experienced, combining a thrilling GPS treasure hunt with the theatre of a script based on the film “The Italian Job”. This is all undertaken in a fleet of Fiat 500 cars, with a pyrotechnic grand finale where you blow the bloody doors off a van to retrieve the gold. Our shady gang of villains delivers this crowd pleaser of an event, which is sure to be talked about for years to come.  Photos taken on our events prolong the benefits of team building, and this unique event provides you with plenty.

The Parmesan Job II

What do you do when you have created an event which participants say is the best they have experienced? Well, you create a sequel. Our Parmesan Job II runs to a new and thrilling script, and can include speedboats and London taxis. We utilise the Thames for the boats, and teams transfer between river and land at various locations to make the most of the sights of London. This is a premier event experience for those occasions when the extraordinary is required. How do we build on this for the new ultimate experience? The team is working on The Parmesan Job III – Starship edition!

Spy School

MI6 is recruiting, and your team is in its sights. Your team visits our mobile spy training camp located somewhere in London. We cannot tell you exactly where, because it is a secret. Here you will meet our Director of Training and Quartermaster Hugh Cumber. Q Cumber will distribute your equipment, ranging from guns for marksmanship training to challenges to test your mettle as the new group of recruits for Britain’s Secret Service. Will you pass training, or will SMERSH infiltrate your team and thwart your efforts? Contact Q Branch on 0800 975 0728 to discuss your future in espionage.

Motorised Team Building

There are no locations within London for this activity, but we have two locations on the outskirts of town which are each approximately 30 miles from the centre of London. Motorised activities include quad bikes, Segways, off-road driving, and blindfold driving. The latter is not a joke but a safe activity in which the driver wears a blindfold and the team in the vehicle gives directions. As a metaphor for some work situations, it works well. There are usually more convenient options for an event in London, but if motorised activities are important for the theme of the event  we can give you options that make it possible to do this within a day.

It’s A Knockout in London

Many will remember the infamous “It’s A Knockout” TV programme. Our version is based around inflatable games, such as Human Table Football (a large inflatable version of the table-top game), a giant inflatable volleyball court, and Sumo suit relay. This energetic event format is great fun on a summer day, and there are some large spaces in London, including central London, that can be hired for an event. It’s A Knockout is a very memorable event experience and, as with so many events, it will yield plenty of colourful photos for you to enjoy in the future.

Taken

‘I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want …’ Our Taken event is not about that famous film. In Taken, the team building event, a file of vital company documents is stolen in front of your team’s very eyes. Your group is divided into teams, and each team is given an iPad loaded with state-of-the-art software that will assist in tracking down the documents, and save the day for your company. During the mission, the team will meet covert field agents and solve fiendish puzzles out and about in the local area. Taken particularly suits London as a location.

James Bond 007 Treasure Hunt

Where better, frankly, than London to experience a James Bond themed event? Well, okay, perhaps Jamaica. However, for fans of the iconic Bond movies seeing London from the Thames, and particularly Vauxhall Cross (the SIS building), is a moment that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Our James Bond themed event, complete with secret agents stationed around the capital, can be enjoyed on foot, in black cabs, or in inflatable speedboats. Alternatively, you can combine all three for a thrilling and quite unique experience. This action-packed  event is a thrilling race against a ticking digital clock across London.

Monopoly Treasure Hunt

It is reported that The Queen banned Monopoly at Sandringham as a Christmas game because it became too competitive. If you have a competitive team, then perhaps this is just the ticket for your next London team building event. We have created a clever spin on this legendary board game, which has your team travelling around London collecting properties as you go. Visit the famous streets associated with Monopoly and earn points as you go in a challenge that requires careful planning and a sound strategy. This is a great choice if you want your teams to learn something about the geography of London.

Round The World Treasure Hunt

Add an international flavour to your team building event with our Round The World Treasure Hunt. Visit locations associated with countries from around the world and complete challenges associated with this countries. Perhaps your team will need to work on their ice hockey skills, or complete a challenge to impress an Origami master. You will be guided by the latest technology in the form of our GPS-driven iPad software, loaded onto an iPad. This Treasure Hunt encompasses culture, food, music, film, and more, and London is the perfect location. Participants always learn new things on events like this because, after all, every day is a school day!

Hidden Quest Treasure Hunt

The key element of our Hidden Quest Treasure Hunt is cryptic puzzles. If you are looking for a challenge to really test those grey cells, then Hidden Quest is the answer. Visit locations around London to discover specific tasks and puzzles in key hotspots around London. Characters, in costume, will be on hand to help you disentangle the tasks if you find yourself stuck. We end the event in one of London’s renowned pubs, so that you can rest with a refreshing drink while our team marks your pack and declare one team the winner.

London Treasure Hunt

Our original London Treasure Hunt combines questions about locations in London combined with photo challenges and a scavenger list of items to collect, some much harder than others. We use the latest GPS technology and each team in given an iPad which contains the entire challenge in one intuitive interface. We choose convenient locations around your start point. Often we start at a client’s office and finish at a friendly bar with a private area for your group. Typically this is a three hour event, but it is extremely flexible. Transport options include foot, cab and boat on the Thames.

Black Cab Treasure Hunt

We have a team of friendly black cab drivers who can be booked for a London Treasure Hunt. It is essential that the right drivers are chosen, and our cabbies are picked for their friendly demeanour. They are also briefed not to answer any questions for you! These cheerful Londoners will take you around the city, to the locations that have been chosen for your event, using The Knowledge. They know the back routes and short cuts that will get you around in the most efficient way, avoiding the all too common traffic jams that can bring the roads to a standstill.

Thames Rib Treasure Hunt

A RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) is an inflatable speedboat with a rigid hull.  These vessels are extremely safe, and our sister company owns the largest fleet in Europe. They can be brought to the Thames for an unrivalled London Treasure Hunt experience, allowing participants to see the city from the water, often visiting unfamiliar places while undertaking challenges. Our qualified and experienced skippers will look after you, adhering to the important rules of the river and keeping you safe, while knowing the places where you can have a bit of fun with these powerful boats.

Tour De Team in London

Tour De Team is an exciting cycling-themed team building activity that is available around the UK for groups of up to 200 people. Each team starts with a brand new mountain bike, and the aim is to complete a series of challenges that will demand teamwork and creativity. This is all very well, but the first challenge that you must face is that the bike has not been assembled. You have a toolkit and workstation, but no instructions. How hard can it be?  Well, you must also complete challenges and puzzles to earn the parts of your bike. A strategy is essential, as you will not get very far without wheels. Repurpose some of the parts of your bike to create a bling fashion accessory. Now what? A puncture of course. How quickly can your team solve this latest problem? Next, you have to take part in a slow race. ‘A what?’ we hear you say. Our instructors will be on hand to explain everything and make sure that your team makes the most of this cycling-themed team building event. Finally your bikes are inspected by our own certified mechanics before the winning team is presented with Tour De Team gold medals.

Family Fun Days

Sometimes, it can be a good idea to reward the families of those who work for you. A Family Fun Day brings together activities that will please every generation: mum, dad, kids and sometimes grandparents. There is a huge range of activities to choose from, including target sports such as archery, inflatable games including bouncy castles, and fairground style activities such as hoopla and a coconut shy. Professional face painters will ensure that you have wonderful photos to remember your event by. Top the day off with an ice cream van and a barbecue, and you will have delightful day for everyone.

The Olympic Games in London

Our Olympic Games event features a series of team building games that represent different countries, as teams compete in decathlon and field events. The games are a combination of serious and fun, and include archery, laser clay shooting, and human table football.  The format is essentially a multi-activity day with an Olympic theme that includes flags and a podium for the winners, who receive gold medals. We need a large space for The Olympic Games, and there are a few suitable locations in London. Alternatively you can travel to the outskirts of town where there are plenty of venues available.

Rocket Launch

In July 1969 the USA successfully put a man on the moon, 240,000 miles away. In recent years, four billionaires attempted flights into space at huge cost using technology that is incomparable to the little Apollo spacecraft. Of these, Elon Musk’s SpaceX was the most successful, reaching 125 miles above the Earth, albeit without an astronaut on board. Something has gone very wrong, and NASA needs your help from London. Your team will be given the materials to build a rocket, along with our purpose-built rocket launch pad. Will you break the bonds of Earth to soar into space, or will you disintegrate on launch?

The Rookie in London

In 2005, Series 1 of “The Apprentice” hit the screens in the UK. Versions of this successful show have been made in 46 countries around the world, from America to Mongolia. “The Apprentice” can be rightly described as a cultural phenomenon. We have created an event called The Rookie, in which teams compete in tasks to earn the approval of Lord Sweetener (our sugar substitute). Can your team find the cheapest bowler hat in London, or locate a rare fruit in one of the area’s many local markets? Luckily, in our version, everyone stays hired!

Cyber Heist Treasure Hunt

Your team meets for what seems to be a typical meeting, featuring a presentation.  A sophisticated but malevolent hacker quickly takes control, and your group learns that a damaging virus has taken root in your corporate communication system. The hacker has devised a devious game to toy with his victims before he strikes. Can your team complete the challenges, and outwit the hacker before the digital timer runs out? The Cyber Heist treasure hunt works particularly well in London, and you can take part on foot, in London taxis, or in boats on the Thames.

Chocolate Making in London

This is an indoor event that can be organised at your offices or in a hotel or event space in London. We supply a complete pop-up chocolate making kitchen, and the event is run by experienced chocolatiers. You will learn the techniques behind making delicious truffles  and indulgent liqueur centres. Yes, we provide a bar! You will create a delicious box of handmade chocolates that you can take home and delight of loved ones … if they get that far. Chocolate making is a particular favourite during the Christmas season, and we bring all of the colourings required for that festive feel.

Together We Can

Together We Can is typically an indoor event, but we can hold elements of it outside if you have the right venue in London. An example would be an event space that benefits from a roof garden. We bring together a group of activities that all teams work together to complete. So, Together We can is not a competition but a collaboration between all of the teams. This fits the concept of team building perfectly. Each team rotates around the challenges, adding their own element. Between rotations, teams must explain their strategy to the next team, which then chooses whether to continue with that strategy or to change it to their own.

F1 Challenge in London

Your team is given a pre-made chassis and the task is to create a Formula 1 racing car, complete with branding. This task is not limited to your team’s first-rate racer; you must also brand your hats and overalls. Once the important business of image is dealt with, the cars are lined up on the starting grid for a head-to-head race down to the pits, where tyres must be changed as quickly as possible before you race back to the finish line. There can only be one winner, and the team that puts on the best performance will take their place on the podium.

Ultimate Challenge

Each team is given an Ultimate Challenge chest, filled with a wide array of challenges and activities. You have a few moments to sort through the contents and plan for success. Then the countdown begins, projected onto a screen with background music that increases in tempo as time elapses. Heart rates will rise as the end of the challenge draws closer. Are other teams doing better than yours? The cheers in the room may make you think so. This is an indoor activity, and it is ideal for large conferences set in London, where each table will have its own chest of challenges.

Cuisine Team Cooking

We bring our mobile kitchen to your location in London, with workstations for each team taking part. The freshest ingredients and a team of experienced chefs will be provided to ensure that your team can produce a wonderful meal. Choose your theme, from Italian to Chinese or French to Japanese. You may even want to try Fusion or something simpler for a shorter event. The options are limitless. The best thing about Cuisine Team is that you get to enjoy the rewards of your efforts, with each team eating the food they produce. You could even host one of the other teams at your table, provided they provide the wine!

Molecular Cooking in London

Molecular gastronomy was created in France in the late 1980s, but it has become popular more recently, with chefs such as Heston Blumenthal championing it on the television. We bring this interesting concept to London for the enjoyment of your team. The technique essentially blends cooking with science to produce interesting dishes that might create spheres, foams and gels, or feature taste-infused smokes. This is a fascinating event that will open your eyes to the possibilities of using molecular science in the creation of food. Will it taste any better? Who knows, but you will have an experience that will be talked about long after the event.

Da Vinci’s Designs

Inspired by the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci, this creative event challenges teams to create an artwork that expresses a predetermined value or idea. This can be linked to your company's values, making it both enjoyable and highly relevant. Each team creates a canvas, and these are then combined to form a collaborative artwork that communicates a desired message. The results are always interesting, and many of these designs are now proudly displayed on the walls of our clients in London. We provide all the materials, including protective covering for the floor. Even those who do not consider themselves artists will be surprised at the finished work of art.

Cocktail Making in London

We bring along a mobile cocktail-making bar and set it up in your office or event space in London. We also provide an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and supplies ranging from lemon slices to cocktail umbrellas. Our knowledgeable bartender will give instruction, and you mix your own cocktails. Pina coladas and margaritas abound. In recent years the spritzers, such as Aperol Spritz, have become popular. Perhaps you will learn a new favourite cocktail recipe. Let your creativity go, although anyone who suggests Sex On The Beach will have to report to HR first thing tomorrow morning!

iPad Movie Making

We provide an iPad for each team, loaded with filmmaking software, and an extensive wardrobe of costumes. Our iPads come equipped with extra visual and sound equipment to really get the most out of the film that you make. Teams must plan a film, typically of around 3 minutes in length, and then film it before all of the films are shown to the teams in an Oscars-style ceremony. London is an ideal location for this team building event. Usually we film indoors, but on a warm day you can venture out into the streets, or into one of London’s beautiful parks.

Rollercoaster

This is a unique team building activity that is available in London. On paper it may not look very exciting, but the end result produces one of the greatest build-ups and celebration effects of any event. The elements are canes of various lengths and connecting devices that enable teams to build a rickety rollercoaster that can transport a ball around the room using gravity alone. As confidence builds, they start to put features into their construction that will push the ball through the rollercoaster on its own momentum. The parts of the structure are then joined and, hey presto, a rollercoaster that can fill a large room is born.

Drumming Team Building

You might expect that giving a large room full of people their own drum and encouraging them all to bang away would result in a cacophony that sends everyone running to the nearest shop to buy paracetamol. However, with the guidance of our expert instructors, you will learn techniques and how to layer sound, leading to a highly motivating and harmonious end result. Drumming Workshop is a hugely popular event choice for London-based teams, and participants often express surprise at how much they enjoy the experience. Many, we are sure, go online when they get home and buy a drum – it is that addictive!

Animaniacs

Depending on your age “The Magic Roundabout” or “Wallace and Gromit” will be your reference points for clay model stop motion TV programmes. We provide all the equipment needed and plenty of clay. We also have experts on hand to help with the technology and guide you through model making.  We find that once people start modelling they need little guidance, and it is surprisingly compelling and even therapeutic. With small movements the team produces a short film. This can be linked to business objectives or the theme of a conference, making it a great activity when fun and meaning are required.

Indoor Crystal Challenge in London

We have created an indoor version of our ever-popular Crystal Challenge event, which can be set up in a conference room or even in your offices. This is ideal for a London team building event where space is at a premium and not always available. Teams compete in various professionally built activities to earn crystals in a friendly, competitive format. Each of the activities has specific outcomes, for example communication, building trust, fostering leadership, and enhancing planning skills. If you have clear objectives for the event, this activity is ideal. Crucially, it is effective in business-related outcomes, but it is also great fun.

Ready, Steady Bake!

Ready, Steady Bake! is the baking themed edition of our cookery team building offering. We provide a mobile kitchen with all the equipment required for baking both sweet and savoury baked delights. Everyone is given an apron and a baker’s hat, which can be decorated and kept. Then it is time for a show-stopping bake-off. Will you be complimented on your creation by our discerning judges, or will you suffer the indignity of a soggy bottom? As with other cooking activities, the major advantage of this one is that you get to sample your wares, but make sure to leave enough space for dinner!

Ice Cream Making

We provide all the equipment required to make delicious ice cream. The team building element comes in the form of a game in which your team opens an ice cream parlour. You have to create a brand, complete with a logo and a unique selling proposition (USP). You then need to come up with your flavours, and come up with something different and delicious. This is not as easy as it may seem. Will you go for a classic like pistachio, or something more fruity? Will you take the risk with a flavour like Marmite, or put a spin on a traditional classic like rum and raisin? This is the perfect activity for a hot, stuffy day in London.

Beat The Box in London

Inspired by the popular TV game show “The Cube”, our Beat the Box indoor team building event features a series of unique challenges aimed at fostering communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. With an equal mix of individual and group tasks, this inclusive and competitive event is designed for everyone's enjoyment while enhancing team cohesion. Participants will engage in timed box challenges at tables and high-pressure showcase challenges in our Beat the Box Arena, reminiscent of the thrilling gameshow. Throughout the event, the entire room will reunite for head-to-head team activities, ensuring an exciting and dynamic experience for all.

Crime Scene Investigation

A murder has been committed, a heinous capital crime in the capital, London. Evidence suggests that the killer premeditated their actions. Your team must enter the crime scene, find evidence, conduct experiments, and build a case against one of two suspects. These suspects are available for cross-examination. What might their motive have been? Do they have alibis? Will you play good cop, bad cop, or will you employ some other strategy in your interrogation? This is a fully immersive team building experience, and you will have the opportunity to put into practice all of the crime-solving techniques that you have seen on TV.

Funky Junk

Inspired by STOMP and The Blue Man Group, our Funky Junk team building event will produce an exhilarating, stomping show. Using an assortment of odd household and garden items, you will create a performance worthy of London’s West End. Watch, learn, and listen as we transform junk into a percussion orchestra. This energetic session focuses on collective belief, contribution, and success.
You will see your colleagues in a new light as they drum on ladders, bang on industrial bins, or even strum shopping trolleys. With team choreography and volunteer soloists, your group will deliver a thrilling show, fostering team bonding and having a blast.

Millionaire By Midnight

Millionaire By Midnight suits London down to the ground. It comprises a mixture of different evening events that offer something for everyone. For example, you might choose a couple of casino tables, a Giant Scalextric, and an air hockey table. Teams are given a wad of fake money and spend the evening trying to increase their bank. The winners are the team who make the most money by making the best use of their combined skills. Can they become Millionaires By Midnight? This suits a glamorous London hotel, perhaps as an after dinner event alternative to a disco.

Stocks and Shares in London

This is an extremely popular event in London, our very own stock market simulation. Teams are presented with a range of fictitious companies, each with a starting price. Over the course of the game they will receive newspapers with news stories on the various companies, which span a variety of industries. Can you predict whether the stock will rise or fall based on these stories and rumours? Trading is done in an exciting trading pit, with prices displayed on a large screen. Price rise and fall, there are shocks. Some companies go bust. Will you opt for a diverse portfolio, or will you try to corner the market?

Casino Night

We provide casino quality tables and experienced and engaging croupiers, to ensure a high quality night of risk and reward. A fun casino night brings the excitement of London’s casinos to your event with games like blackjack, roulette, and poker. Teams play with fake money, creating a lively atmosphere of friendly competition and entertainment. Whether it's rolling the dice or trying their luck at cards, everyone gets to experience the thrill of a casino without the risk. It's a glamorous and engaging way to socialise, bond, and unwind, making it a memorable evening for all attendees.

Generation Game Tribute

Good game, good game! Step back in time with our homage to the iconic game shows of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Enjoy dinner while participating in quirky challenges reminiscent of “The Generation Game”. Each table competes in light-hearted contests that promise laughter and camaraderie. From bizarre tasks to hilarious antics, these activities ensure a thoroughly entertaining evening where you can relax, have fun, and create lasting memories. This is the perfect team building evening in London for groups looking to unwind and enjoy a unique event experience that brings out the playful spirit in everyone.

Murder Mystery Evenings in London

We have a great selection of Murder Mystery scripts from a variety of eras, and we have themes that include James Bond and, of course, Christmas scripts. Our team of professional actors will deliver an engaging experience as your attempt to solve the crime finding method, motive and murderer.  Murder mysteries are perfect for corporate entertainment as they appeal to diverse personalities. Outgoing individuals eagerly participate, leading to humorous and memorable exchanges with the actors, while those who prefer to observe are respected and often excel  as astute detectives. We tailor our approach to strike the right balance, ensuring everyone enjoys the evening.

Trial By Jury

London is the epicentre of the world’s legal expertise. Our Trial By Jury event recreates a courtroom trial, where you are both the prosecution and the jury. A judge presides, and acts as master of ceremonies during the event. A man is accused of murder, and three witnesses will give their version of events on the fateful night in question. You will cross-examine the accused and the witnesses and examine clues as you attempt to build an understanding of the case. Finally, you must decide whether the accused is guilty, or not guilty. This is a capital crime, and the judge will explain that your verdict must be beyond reasonable doubt. You may instinctively feel that the accused is guilty, but is there any element of doubt?

Quizmania in London

There is no shortage of quizzes available online or through event suppliers. Our experience and understanding of the corporate market guarantee that you will experience a sophisticated and enjoyable experience, rather than an event delivered through a screeching microphone like you might find in a London pub. The questions cover a broad mix, thoroughly challenging every member of your team, each of whom will bring their own specialist knowledge to the table. Our purpose-built software uploads points instantly and ensures competitive spirit with a running total. It is no surprise that Quizmania has become an annual competition for some companies.

Simulators and Games

At large-scale corporate events, simulators and games complement a variety of activities, offering diverse entertainment options such as pinball machines, racing simulators, and virtual shooting games. Additionally, attractions like giant Scalextric, Jenga, Connect 4, and punch bag machines add excitement. Whether enjoying classic favourites or exploring the latest technology, attendees can immerse themselves in a fairground or arcade-like atmosphere tailored to suit the audience's preferences. These interactive elements enhance engagement and provide opportunities for friendly competition and team-building, making them ideal for corporate gatherings aiming to balance fun and networking.

Drumming Icebreakers

Drumming is the perfect icebreaker activity because it is simply so energising. Our group icebreaker version of the popular Drumming event is tailored to fit within one hour, making it an ideal energiser for London-based meetings and conferences. Each participant will find a drum next to their seat. No musical experience is necessary; with a bit of practice, drumming will feel natural and exhilarating. Our conductor will organise everyone into different rhythm sections, skilfully layering the beats like an orchestra to produce a dynamic and resonant sound experience.

Haka Workshop Icebreaker

The traditional Maori tribal dance known as the Haka comes to London and serves as a powerful team icebreaker at conferences and an exceptional team building activity. Originating from New Zealand's Maori culture, made famous by the All Blacks Rugby Team, the Haka is a sacred and ancient practice. Historically performed by Maori warriors before battle, the Haka is a potent war cry and display of strength. Participating in the Haka brings people together through a shared, unforgettable experience. It instils a sense of unity, courage, and respect among participants, making it a profound and impactful addition to corporate gatherings seeking to build camaraderie and inspire teamwork.

Funky Junk Icebreaker

Have you ever noticed how random objects can sometimes make interesting noises? Who has not blown into a loo roll and played a tune? With our Funky Junk Icebreaker, we have turned this entertaining event into a quick energiser that will leave everyone surprised at the tunefulness created with everyday items. A stepladder, a steel dustbin, or even a shopping trolley. These and other bizarre artefacts of quotidian life will be provided and, together, your team will create a tune that will leave you all energised and amazed. This is one activity that works well as a surprise, with the group confronted with a junk heap as a team building event!

Boombastic Icebreaker Activity

Doe, a deer … If you have never been confronted with a ‘Boomwhacker’ then prepare yourself. Life will never be the same again. ‘Boomwhackers’ are hollow plastic tubes, each colour representing a different length and note on the musical scale. Hit the tube on your hand (not on your colleague’s head, please), and it will produce a sound. If everyone does this in concert, you can create a tune. This is a fun and excellent icebreaking activity for your next event in London. Participants will be ordering their own set when they get home, they are that compelling.

Treasure Hunt Icebreakers

Our London Treasure Hunt event has been  adapted to create a shorter, very energetic, icebreaker event. If you are staying in a hotel then it can take place around the grounds, or if you want to start and finish at your offices or at a conference venue then it can take place in the streets around you. London is so full of interesting sights that almost any area is perfect for this activity. If you are doing it from your office it always amazes people that there are things around them that they have never spotted before. This is a great energising activity, which always has people talking about what they did after the event.

Egg Toss in London

We will have to be extremely careful where we do this. We cannot just use a roof space and toss eggs around London. We do actually have rubber eggs, so the yolk will not be on you if the egg breaks. The idea behind Egg Toss is simple. You have to build a device using canes, elastic bands, plastic cups and other paraphernalia capable of flinging an egg over as great a distance as possible. The team that flings their egg the furthest wins. This always results in a great competition, and the grand final when all the eggs are tossed is tremendous fun.

Clappity-Clap!

Our Clappity Clap! icebreaker events are vibrant, fun, and energising. Led by an expert facilitator, your group embarks on a rhythmic adventure that quickly becomes a hilarious challenge. Using our patented, color-coded Clappity Clap! gloves (Marigolds), participants are divided into rhythm sections based on glove colour. These sections form a united percussion orchestra, guided by our rhythm master. Participants quickly gain confidence and musical skill, progressing from simple beats to complex clapping crescendos. The result is a spectacular display of colour, sound, and energy, showcasing the impressive team-building power of rubber gloves.

Experience this unique, high-energy team-building activity that unites and energises everyone!

Virtual Murder Mystery

If you are stuck for time, or need your London team to meet with their global colleagues, a virtual event may be the ideal solution. Our Virtual Murder Mystery is an example of an event that transfers from the real world to the virtual space without losing engagement or appeal. A team of actors, dressed in costume and with themed backdrops, appear on screen. A detective acts as MC and presents a case. You then have the opportunity to question the suspects, attempting to find Method, Motive and Murderer. We have one, three and five actor versions, and you can choose one or two hour formats.

Virtual Chocolate Making

We have made our Chocolate Making team building event into a delicious virtual event. You will receive all of the elements in the post, both in London and at locations around the world, including the luscious base chocolate and ingredients. Teams can gather at a desk, or you can set up a large screen with workstations in a conference room. Our chocolatiers will visit you virtually on screen and take you through the process of creating a delicious box of confectionary. You will make ganache, temper your chocolates and add delicious flavours as you learn new skills that you can take away with you. You will never need to buy another box of chocolates again!

Virtual Baking Event

Fill your London office with the aroma of freshly baked bread and cakes. Our virtual baking event will bring this experience to your workplace, requiring only everyday kitchen tools. We begin by covering the basics, ensuring that everyone can follow the step-by-step instructions. Then we proceed to preparing the ingredients for delicious and mouth-watering bakes, teaching new skills and boosting confidence for future baking endeavours. For added excitement, we can introduce a competitive element with virtual breakout rooms for pre-selected teams. Delegates can collaborate on creating complete business concepts, including recipes, packaging designs, marketing campaigns, and business plans. These are then presented to the group and our judges.

Virtual Cuisine Team

Turn your office into Hell’s Kitchen, London branch, with equipment and supplies that arrive in the post. We begin by covering the basics, from ingredient selection and knife skills to the essential chemistry of cooking. Then, we move on to preparing a single or two-course recipe that can be adapted for special diets. Our chef will guide everyone through the step-by-step process, answering questions along the way to ensure satisfying and delicious results for all. For those interested in a competitive twist, we can have our chef provide feedback and judge the dishes based on creative use of ingredients and presentation.

Virtual Masterpiece

Our virtual masterclass event ignites creativity and teamwork as your group recreates famous artworks worthy of hanging in one of the London galleries! Participants will connect with our lead artist online via Zoom or another virtual platform. The event manager will divide a well-known artwork or your company logo into segments, assigning each team member a specific section. Participants then race against the clock to replicate their section using materials found around them—magazine cuttings, coffee stains, makeup, pasta, or even LEGO. The more imaginative, the better. Collaboration is key, as team members will need to discuss colours, techniques, and scale to ensure all segments fit together seamlessly, highlighting the importance of seeing 'the bigger picture'.

Virtual Haka

Engage in this traditional and ancient Māori tribal dance, renowned on the rugby field, through an online version. Bringing people together in London and elsewhere, this event provides a shared and unforgettable experience. It can be scheduled as a planned event or introduced as a surprise when our Haka Master takes over your office screen. Historically, the Haka was performed as a pre-battle routine to showcase strength and prowess, aiming to uplift the spirits of Māori warriors and intimidate their opponents. This unique online experience not only boosts team morale but also leaves neighbouring offices wondering what on earth is happening next door!

Virtual Escape Room

We have various online Escape Room scenarios, all designed to test such skills as quick-thinking, problem solving and working under pressure. One example is Framed! Your group has been invited to the office of a prestigious art dealer in London. Suddenly you realise that you have been locked in the room. Framed for an audacious art heist, your team must find a way to escape and prove your innocence before time runs out. Virtual team building events offer an opportunity to bring international groups together, and Virtual Escape Rooms are one of the most popular formats.

Virtual Casino

Our Virtual Casino is a live casino with real professional croupiers, broadcasting from London, who will facilitate the games and interact with teams as they try their hand at games such as Black Jack, Craps and Roulette. This is an important detail, because we do not provide a computer simulation but a real live event. This is much more engaging for players, and has an air of quality and sophistication that a computer generated game simply would not provide. Gather your teams to play with virtual money. The dress code for a Zoom casino is party wear and black tie, but as it is virtual no-one will know what you are really wearing!

Virtual Round The World Quiz

Our virtual Round the World Quiz enables you to explore the world and test your knowledge from the comfort of your desk in London. Using software on your phone or tablet, we will send you a custom game code to join. Our host will guide you through the event via an online meeting platform like Zoom. It's easy to set up and promises loads of fun. This is not your typical quiz. Our software leverages the virtual format, incorporating Google Maps and What3Words. Video and picture challenges will get your team moving and interacting, ensuring an engaging and dynamic experience beyond the usual limitations of a paper based quiz.

Virtual Cheese and Wine Tasting

For a sophisticated virtual team building event experience, Virtual Cheese and Wine Tasting adds a touch of class. We send supplies to your event location and our expert will join you online to walk teams through the principles of wine and cheese tasting sharing a little bit of history, notes to look out for, and a description of the produce which comprises the day’s event. The wines and cheeses chosen are completely bespoke, so you can focus on a country or region. Did you know that Lord London is a cheese made in the UK’s capital city? You can even have a bit of fun by throwing a wild card in. Who can tell their Champagne from their Asti?

Outdoor Team Building Events in London

We offer a variety of themes to spice up your Treasure Hunt, including the intrigue of a James Bond mission or the quirky fun of The Parmesan Job.

Our client Maxine had this to say about one of our outdoor events; ‘I asked The Team Building Company to help organise an event on our behalf, and their service was great. They took care of everything, even down to finding us a venue to host the games. We went for the Crystal challenge event which I would highly recommend; no specialist skills needed, so really good if you are looking for an activity for people with all different skills. The staff was very friendly and patient when we were struggling to engage our brains! I would 100% use the team building company again in the future.’

Indoor Team Building Events in London

From centrally located venues to bespoke spaces designed for corporate activities, London offers a wide range of indoor settings suited to various team building objectives. We can even set up events at your offices.

All of our equipment is made for purpose to the highest standard, and we are able to transform conference rooms and work spaces into engaging spaces for team building events.

A client said this about one of our indoor events; ‘Ryan and the team looked after us brilliantly for the "Together We Can" challenges. They kept us all on course, offered encouragement and prompts where needed. We had the best day. Feedback from a member of staff was "one of the best away days I have been to in 17 years". Would definitely use again.’

Evening Team Building Events In London

Evening team building events usually take place at a hotel in a conference room or a ballroom. We can set up events in your office, but it is exciting to head off-site into London’s plethora of event space offerings.

Options include themed murder mystery dinners where teams work together to solve a dastardly crime, problem-solving in a fun atmosphere with plenty of banter. Cocktail making classes provide opportunities for creativity and teamwork as participants mix and mingle, learning the art of mixology. Our Stocks and Shares event is popular, even among teams that are not involved in finance.

A client had this to say about her evening team building event; ‘The Team Building Company helped us to arrange our first in person meeting since Covid. We started as a team of 25 and now we are over 50. We did the Murder Mystery activity, so much fun and a great activity to get all colleagues talking and mixing. We went the whole hog and dressed for the theme of "Great Gatsby". It was so much fun, everyone enjoyed themselves and the team running the event were really friendly and made the experience that much better. The feedback from the team was AMAZING!’

Icebreaker Team Building Events In London

A good icebreaker can really set your event off on the right foot. It quite literally ‘breaks the ice’, and energises the audience for the day ahead.

If delegates are staying overnight in a hotel and indulging in a full English breakfast before their event, the early sessions may find a slightly sleepy audience. A lively icebreaker is the perfect remedy to avoid the doldrums.

Popular choices include Drumming Team Building, the Haka Workshop Icebreaker, and the extremely enjoyable Egg Toss challenge. Our winning event formats have been tailored for icebreaking purposes to provide an exhilarating way to test teamwork under time pressure.

Our client Yasmin used an ice breaker to liven up her event; ‘We chose the rollercoaster activity and it was absolutely amazing and really got all of our team up and contributing.’  Sometimes this sort of event is needed at the end of an event, as Jackie explains; ‘After a day and a half in a conference room we needed to let off some steam.  Nina and her team were great, we weren't so great at building a contraption to toss an egg, but it was a good team bonding exercise.’

Company Fun Days In London

Fun days typically feature a variety of entertainment, including inflatable games such as Human Table Football, a huge inflatable version of the pub classic, and Giant Inflatable Volleyball.  It’s A Knockout is one of our most popular formats.

Finding space for a large scale event in London can be a challenge, but there are some sports fields in central London that can be hired. Sometimes the best solution is to travel a short distance out of town, and we can advise you on the options.

Here is what a client had to say about a fun day; ‘We used the Team Building Co for our company fun day yesterday in the New Forest. We had around 200 attendees and a range of brilliant activities including Bungee Run, Gladiator Duelling, Bouncy Castle and Laser Tag which I'm told was brilliant; they took everyone off into the woods for a proper battle! The team were amazing, so positive and they really made the day a success, and we will certainly use TBC again if we have another fun day in the future. Thank you! From Sarah at Eden Fareham.’

Company Away Days In London

Company away days offer an opportunity for teams to escape the office environment and get to know their colleagues in a new setting away from the pressures of work.

The defining feature of an away day is that the team gets away from the office, their usual working environment. These days will usually involve a bit of travel, for example a coach trip to a location where space is available for activities. In some ways the feel will be similar to a school trip, and capitalising on this can add to the fun. For example, there can be a quiz on the coach and this will distract everyone on board from the journey.

Charlotte used The Team Building Company for a corporate away day to bring together the team who have all been working remotely for the last 20 months. She said; ‘They were fantastic! Their set up was professional and presentation skills were amazing. They organized 60 loud sales people with ease and our staff had nothing but great feedback on the event. Our host Dan was an absolute star! Will definitely be using them again!’

Company Team Building In London

The key to a successful team building event in London is to make best use of the geography of the city. Our RIB Treasure Hunt is a good example of an event that does this. Here is the experience from a client’s perspective; ‘We organised the RIB Treasure Hunt for over 30 people through the Team Building Company. From start to finish the communication was great (especially Liv our project manager), instructions were clear and they even helped book lunch for the day as well. The team had a fantastic day on the water (weather helped) and we'll definitely be using you again.’

Our Black Cab Treasure Hunt is another example of a team building event that takes advantage of something that is ‘oh so London’. Our client Tom gave us the following feedback; ‘Excellent  advice from the initial enquiry. The treasure hunt was great fun, challenging, informative and most importantly competitive between the teams. Great event executed perfectly, we could not have asked for more. Thanks once again for a great event.’

Karen from BDO llp booked a Parmesan Job for her team. She said; ‘What a great day.  There were 60 of us, organised and all kept on track! It worked really well using our office as a base.  Rob was great keeping us focused and making sure we knew what we were all doing! ’ Meanwhile Aspray said; ‘We booked The Team Building Company for our company's National Conference in January 2022. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon building a rollercoaster and, in a room full of people that deal with property and construction daily, it became rather competitive.’

Well-chosen team building events are an innovative way of fostering creativity among teams. Art-based events such as DaVinci’s Designs or Together We Can offer a relaxed environment for team members to express themselves creatively while bonding over shared experiences.

It was the perfect relaxed, fun, slightly chaotic, very chocolatey challenge to get everyone laughing, working together, and getting competitive in good humour. Well run by Ryan, our chief chocolatier, and his lovely team. All the staff at the Team Building Company were really helpful with setting up the event. And all the chocolate tasted delicious!’

Charity Team Building Events In London

We liaise with good causes in the local community, finding projects that your team can become involved in for just a day, or over a longer period of time.

London's diverse community and range of charitable organisations provide numerous opportunities for companies to engage in corporate social responsibility initiatives that strengthen teamwork, boost morale, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
