Our visit to Stanbrook Abbey
Last week, our events team got the opportunity to visit and have a look around Handpicked Hotel’s latest addition: Stanbrook Abbey.
Stanbrook Abbey is an impressive venue in the heart of Worcester which has extensive, versatile space that includes the original architecture from the former monastery as well as new contemporary space purposely built for events.
With 26 acres of walled grounds and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, Stanbrook Abbey is perfect for our Teambuilding events!

So what were our favourite bits?
James Morris (Sales Manager):
The “Quirkiness”… When we had the show round the sense of adventure you got going into all the different rooms was amazing! From the Callow Great Hall with stained glass feature windows perfect for private dining, to the breakout rooms under the hotel which included the Games Room, Wine Cellar and The Bake House. Each room has its own USP and story to tell.
Matt Arnold (Event Consultant):
Being from the field it would have to be the range of outdoor space available – absolutely perfect for our outdoor teambuilding events, large spaces that are well maintained and easily accessible!
Sarah Murphy (Event Consultant):
The building itself… stunning backdrop with lots of history which is presented throughout the venue with impressive attention to detail. The building offers lots of meeting spaces which is spread out, so nothing feels on top of each other.
Rebecca Phillips (Project Manager):
The bedrooms were beautiful, full of character and on theme with the rest of the venue! Great for a business retreat!
