Many will know this traditional and ancient Maori tribal dance from the rugby pitch but we use The Haka as a powerful team icebreaker for a conference or motivating team building activity. Uniting groups, this event gives all a shared and memorable experience! You can use this activity as a planned event or complete surprise as our Haka Master ‘breaks in’ to your conference and takes over!
The Haka was used historically as a pre-battle routine, it was performed to display strength and prowess – intended to boost the morale of Maori warriors and intimidate the opposition.
The New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Team are well known for performing the sacred Haka dance before they play as a war cry or a challenge, but is also performed to welcome distinguished guests or to acknowledge great occasions, achievements or birthdays and is even performed at funerals.
